I know you because I am you. You probably make a million jokes a day about how you're going to live alone with your 500 cats or dogs, or both if you're like me. You probably have a million pictures about being forever alone saved. You know that the majority of your Valentine's Days are referred to as Single's Awareness Day.
It can be so hard to wait for 'the one' when everyone around you is constantly in and out of relationships. You begin to wonder if you're just too picky or if there is something wrong with you, but you are so perfect. As many times as you have been reminded, you just have to remember to trust in the Lord. "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" Psalm 37:4. God already has the perfect man picked out for you. That man is readying himself for you, just the same way that you are readying yourself for him.
The best way to do this is by staying out of the society's hook up culture. The sole purpose of dating is to find the person that you're meant to marry and you need time to yourself in order to find yourself. If you're constantly dating just to date or in order to find your self-worth, then you're not doing it right. Ladies, each and every single one of you is perfect. We were sculpted in the image of our creator who loves us more than we could even imagine, so you do not need to try to find your self-worth in someone else when you were made perfectly. It's best to be alone in order to find yourself and submerse yourself in the Word.
Although you may feel alone at times, you are never truly alone. Your Heavenly Father is always with you. "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave or forsake you" Deuteronomy 31:6. God never leaves you, even when you feel that you are completely alone. God is always with you guiding you and helping you succeed with the fantastic future that he has planned for you, so please never forget that.
Beautiful girl, I know that it's hard when all of your friends are posting pictures with their boyfriends, your friends are getting married, and you just always feel like a third wheel, but trust me, when God blesses you with the one it is going to be so worth the wait. Not only are you going to be prepared for that relationship, but you're also going to see why you had to wait so long. It's going to be so incredibly perfect and I am praying for that moment for every single one of you because I know how much you want it and how much you are going to cherish it.
Just wait.
