Life was simpler in 2003. "Finding Nemo"made its debut, Beyonce was having a moment, and our lives were forever made better (or worse) by the emotional rollercoaster that is "One Tree Hill."When the show began, none of us really knew how much basketball, crop tops, and bad perms would affect us, but what if the drama took place in 2016? Here's what I think it would've been like.

1. Lucas would have a man bun (and still look really attractive).

He would definitely be a modern day hipster.

2. Nathan and Haley would swipe right on Tinder.

The way any great romance begins.

3. The whole cast would spend way less time showing up unannounced at each other's houses because of texting.

Seriously, shooting a text before showing up unannounced would solve so many problems.

4. Peyton probably wouldn’t have a record collection. Instead, it'd be a pretty awesome Spotify playlist.

Including Twenty One Pilots, Cage The Elephant and Coldplay.

5. Lucas would DM Peyton on Twitter.

6. Peyton would totally use the “Find My Friends” app to keep track of Nathan and his hoe-antics.

7. The cast would appear on Ellen, not TRL.

8. Brooke would post racy pictures on Instagram.

9. Dan would totally own an Apple Watch.

Just because it's a total *power* move.

10. Brooke would use a Lumee case for taking selfies.

She would totally understand the importance of good selfie lighting.

11. Peyton would hopefully ditch that awful perm.

Buh-bye. We won't miss it.

12. Karen would hopefully accept Keith’s proposal the first time around (which should’ve happened in 2003).

Karen + Keith forever.

13. The episode titles would be named after less creative songs like “Trap Queen” and “Work.”

Zero creativity here.

14. Peyton would make art on her computer.

15. Lucas and Nathan would spend time playing basketball Xbox games, like NBA 16 Live.

Who needs real life basketball when you can play a video game?

16. Brooke and Peyton would continue to rock crop tops.

Team crop tops for life.

17. Karen would find recipe inspiration from Pinterest.

18. Peyton would have a dark and moody Tumblr.

It would probably be a pretty accurate representation of her mood, to be honest.

19. Nathan would subtweet the heck out of Lucas and the rest of the cast would grab a bowl of popcorn and watch.

Who doesn't love a good Twitter fued?

20. Brooke would wear itty-bitty high-wasted shorts (yes, you would totally see her butt cheeks).
