How To Tell if Your Roomate Has A Research Paper Due

These are some sure ways in order to tell if anyone has a paper due. The stress of a paper due in the morning can make college students do some crazy things, and here's ten of them.

1. They start to get crazy organized

It's pretty obviously something is due when they spend two hours on work with no interruptions instead of the usual (i.e go out with friends and get dinner for a half hour ,and then come back, spend exactly fifteen minutes doing homework only to take a ten minute nap or spend three hours on Netflix).

2. They are panicking

I would like to see you have a five page paper, an annotated bibliography, and three online journals due the next day, and stay perfectly calm.

3. They have had twelve different cups of coffee in the room

The only thing that's in their stomachs right now is coffee and Monster. They should be okay right?

4. The rooms looks like a tornado hit it

They spread everything out thinking they can move back and fourth between everything, but in the end it's just a chaotic mess you'll need to help clean up.

5. They are trying to talk you into an all-nighter

"Come on, it'll be a fun college experience! Plus you can help me with my paper, can you find me sources?"

6. They're crying

Going to a new school and being away from home can be emotional enough. Now your roommate is running on no sleep, and with an immense amount of stress. Some deep feelings are gonna come out. Grab those tissues.

7. They try to not do they paper at all

"Forget that paper." "That class isn't even that important." "I'll just hand it in another class." "I'll say my laptop randomly died."

8. They say they'll skip their class

If they just don't go to class they won't have to hand in the paper right? It makes total sense and the professor won't be suspicious at all.

9. They say they're gonna drop out

This was their most recent google search. Lots of people don't go to college, why should they?

10. They just ask you to vent

Sometimes they just need to be reminded that they're gonna be okay. Just be there to give them a hug and it'll be appreciated.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
