No matter who says it, orange will NEVER be the new pink.

As an avid lover of pink and sparkles, Elle Woods is a character who's always had my heart. With age I've only come to admire her more and each time I watch "Legally Blonde," I find more reason to fall in love with her. If we all lived our lives like Elle Woods, we could probably graduate as valedictorian of our class, too.

1. Exercise. It'll do you good.

Not only will you feel better and lose a few pounds, but you'll also boost your endorphins! This will prevent you from doing drastic things like killing your husband If you exercise, it'll also come in handy for your alibi (if you're ever falsely accused of murdering your husband)

2. Take time to recharge yourself after a messy breakup.

Yeah it hurts and all you can think about is him, but what you need is to take some time to yourself- surround yourself with the people you love, and the food you adore. Have a movie night with your girls and rent your favorite chick flick. Do what you have to do to get back on your feet and then if you still want him back, GO FOR IT. If Elle didn't take time to herself after Warner dumped her, she would have acted like a desperate ex girlfriend and left him hundreds of "I miss you" texts and phone calls a day, and ultimately she never would have had the brilliant idea to attend Harvard and win him back the right way.

3. Be able to recall hundreds of important details at the drop of a hat.

You never know when Day of Our Lives' villain Stefano will be the answer to the next Final Jeopardy question, and you certainly don't know when your knowledge on hair care will win you a court case your first year of law school.

4. No matter what, orange will NEVER be the new pink.

Maybe it can pass as the new black, but seriously pink is an essential.

5. It's ok to be different.

Do you really think that Professor Stromwell would have given Elle a second look if she wasn't the only one in the class handwriting her notes in a heart notepad with a pink fluffy pen???

Sometimes you just got to do what you got to do to get noticed in big lecture classes.

6. Don't let boys get in the way of what you want.

Sure, Elle struggled at first with adjusting to Harvard and law. To be fair, it was a bit out of her comfort zone, and she was distracted by Warner. Once she realized he was a complete bonehead, she really kicked up her game. By eliminating a boy from the equation, Elle stopped spending time dressing to impress, and spent more time getting her head in the books. She even said so herself: getting Callihan's internship- something she worked her ass off for- was so much better than when she and Warner spent four AMAZING hours in the hot tub after Winter Formal.

7. Your sorority sisters will always have your back.

Serena, Margot and the rest of Elle's Delta Nu sisters were her biggest supporters. They stayed in with her during Senior Greek Week to help her study for the LSATs. They were there with her in spirit as she struggled her first few weeks at Harvard. They were there to witness her first court case where she proved Brooke Windham was falsely accused of murdering her husband. Through the good and the bad of Elle's journey, her girls had her back. They're probably the same girls who embarrassed boys for her when they did her wrong in college.

8. The Bend and Snap is a gift from God.

Stressed over how you're going to get the cute guy on your floor to notice you? It's simple... just bend and snap! Even if you break his nose, you still got his attention right? Now he'll have to marry you.

9. Don't judge a book by its cover.

Cheesy and cliché, but nonetheless true. Elle validated that stereotypes aren't always correct. Sure she was president of her sorority, loved glitter and was always preppy but that doesn't make her a "typical sorority girl." How many "typical sorority girls" do you know who would skip events like Spring Fling Beer Bash Extreme to study for their LSATs and then later on become the valedictorian of their class from HARVARD?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
