Watermelon is hands down the best fruit. I know I always look so forward to when watermelons start showing up in stores in early summer. So of course when I heard about National Watermelon Day, I had to think of some ways to celebrate. National Watermelon Day is on August 3rd.

Here are five festive ways to celebrate the lovely day.

1. Eat some watermelon of course and take a picture with the hashtag #Nationalwatermelonday

2. Make some yummy watermelon food or drinks.

There are tons of recipes out there that have watermelon. A lot of salads, desserts and alcoholic beverages have watermelon and make the perfect summer treat.

3. If you're feeling adventurous and have strong inner thighs. You can try breaking a watermelon in between them and taking a picture.

4. Buy some watermelon themed gear.

There's phone cases, pool floats and clothing with watermelons on them!

5. Have a summer celebration with friends and family.

Summer is all about BBQ's so why not have one featuring watermelon.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
