So I just found out some life changing news.
They are coming out with a "High School Musical 4"!
So here’s the deal, the moment I read the headlines, my first reaction was this:
But I guess three amazing high school musical movies weren’t enough for producers because just like Sharpay, they want more.
I wouldn’t be upset with another High School Musical movie coming out if it contained the same casts. However, this movie is predicted to have a completely new plot and characters.
I know Troy, I feel you.
That’s right.
No Troy, who was the most gorgeous and sweetest Disney Channel boy my eight-year-old eyes had ever laid eyes on.
I mean, come on, who didn’t love that crystal blue eyed, perfect haired, heart of gold, boy next door? He was every girl’s first celebrity crush.
No Gabriella, with her incredible intelligence and adorable personality.
Or Sharpay and Ryan, with their absolutely fabulous songs and Sharpay with her one of a kind attitude.
No Taylor, Chad, Zeke, Kelci, Jason, or any of the gang.
No combos of basketball and music with choreography that were so BA. Those moves were impeccable.
Or the drama that occurred when #1 basketball player and hottie Troy and genius beauty Gabriella messed up the status quo by wanting to sing together.
Which led to some of the biggest plot twists and overreactions of all time.
No schools out for summer celebrations and working at the country club.
Or graduation that had everyone with tear filled eyes.
And without all of these things, that are the heart and soul of "High School Musical," what do you have? That’s right, no "High School Musical."
So no, I will not watch what producers are trying to call "High School Musical 4" because as we all know, when producers try to continue a series of movies that has long since been resolved and finished years ago, the movies preceding the originals are usually terrible.
So the producers can try to have the “start of something new” but they really just need to get their “head in the game.” We know what team we are (Wildcats!), and we know that no matter how many years past, we are “all in this together.”
