High School Vs. College, As Told By GIFs

High school was nothing like “High School Musical,” and you’re understandably upset. If anything, it was a cross between “Mean Girls” and “Ferris Bueller's Day Off.” But now that you’re a college student, you can look back on those innocent times and laugh at yourself. Doing an assignment a week before it was due? Those were simpler times.

High School: “My family is the worst. I can’t wait to move out.”

College: “Wow people have it so much worse than me. Only 52 days, 3 hours, and 29 minutes till I get to see them, no big deal.”

High School: “Stop trying to help me! I can do it on my own.”

College: *calls mom* “Yeah, hey, what kind of soap do you use to wash the dishes again? ‘Cuz my kitchen is kind of flooded with bubbles right now.”

High School: “I’m so worried about how I’m going to pay for college.”

College: “I’m so worried about how I’m going to pay for college, but I’m not going to think about it because it literally gives me panic attacks now.”

High School: “I know exactly what I want to be when I grow up and exactly how I’m going to achieve my goals.”

College: “I still tell my family I want to do that career just so it looks like I know what I’m doing with my life.”

High School: “I know exactly who I am.”

College: “I had no idea who I was in high school but I really do now, but that’ll probably change in the next few weeks.”

High School: “I’m going to have these friends for the rest of my life. We’re going to Skype every week and visit each other at least once a month.”

College: “Wait, who?”

High School: “College is going to be so hard.”

College: “Hey this is actually pretty eas-oh my god someone please save me from this form of cruel and unusual punishment.”

High School: *wears sweatpants* “I wish I wore jeans.”

College: *wears jeans* “I wish I wore sweatpants.”

High School: “I took a nap the other day lol I’m such a kid at heart.”

College: *takes a 4-hour nap, cries, calls mom, drinks wine like a baby bottle, sleeps some more*

High School: *sees someone taking a scooter to class* “Oh my gosh haha what a weirdo.”

College: *sees someone taking a scooter to class* “I need to get one of those.”

High School: “Ew, Dad made his tuna casserole again.”

College: “All I’ve eaten this week is dried ramen noodles and the crust of my friend’s pizza.”

High School: *has enough money to go to the movies every weekend*

College: *Googles: how much money does a stripper make annually*

Through the late nights, seemingly never-ending piles of homework, that chair overflowing with your laundry you still need to put away, and too much caffeine with not enough food, college can be hard. But looking back on high school, you know that you wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
