Not really feeling the whole trick-or-treat thing? Or you just don't wanna be stuck alone in your place watching Netflix? Not to fear, because there are definitely other ways you could spend your Halloween this year.
1. Youmacon
Starting on Oct. 30 until Nov. 1, this three-day event is happening less than an hour away in Detroit. So if you like anime, manga, or any other forms of Japanese culture, this would be the perfect way for you to spend your Halloween.
2. Wiard's Haunted Thrill Park
For something a little cheaper and closer to home, visiting this spooky site would be perfect for getting into that Halloween spirit. It goes until Nov. 1, so don't miss it!
3. Muttster Mash
If you love animals, then you're gonna love this. At the Huron River Humane Society on Oct. 30, you get to play and possibly adopt some cute animals while enjoying free candy. And best of all, it's completely free. What could be better than that?
4. Dia de los Muertos
Taking place until Oct. 31, come down to celebrate Spanish culture and appreciate artistic beauty on Whittaker Rd. and enjoy this celebration as we all thank and give peace to our ancestors.
So don't be a sad sack and spend your Halloween bored. Go out and support the local events hosted by our communities.
