A Hairy Situation

In just eight short months we'll be heading to the polls and choosing the next president of the United States.

Now that the primaries are underway, you've probably started to decide which candidate best aligns with your views. You've watched the debates, listened to interviews and read articles. You judge candidates based on intelligence, vision for the country, understanding of economics, foreign policy experience and more. But there's one very important thing you should keep in mind when choosing which candidate is right for you -- their hair.

Each candidate brings their own unique style to the table. From bobs to comb-overs, here is the definitive ranking of all of hairdos that grace the heads of our presidential hopefuls.

7. Bernie Sanders

Remember that time you woke up five minutes before your 8 a.m. and you couldn't find your brush so you just ran your fingers through your hair before running out the door and hoped for the best? I'm convinced that's Bernie's everyday style routine. He lets his hair do its own thing and really does not give a damn what you think about it.

6. Ted Cruz

Beneath Ted Cruz's carefully-combed, shiny, jet-black locks lies a dark secret:

A bald-spot that comes out of hiding every now and again to remind us that not even a whole bottle of hairspray can fix all of life's hair emergencies.

5. Marco Rubio

At first glance, Marco Rubio's hair appears normal in length, color and style. But upon closer inspection something is definitely off. That's when you notice that due to some thinning on top, the 44 year old is slowly becoming a member of the GOP's comb over club.

However, Marco Rubio doesn't need to worry about his impending baldness. His wife's hair is #flawless enough for the both of them.

4. John Kasich

When my little brother was in elementary school he went through a phase where he spiked up the front of his hair with gel every morning. John Kasich is going through this phase right now. Cute on a six year old running around the playground. Not so cute on a 63 year old running for president.

3. Ben Carson

Ben Carson's hair is short with an everyday haircut and is slightly graying around the edges. It's about as exciting and charismatic as he is.

2. Donald Trump

Trump's hair takes the number two spot because there is no other hairstyle in the race as iconic and mysterious as his. Is it a toupee? Is it a comb-over? Is it just a really outdated and bad hairstyle? The world may never know. Just take a moment to appreciate these pictures of it blowing in the wind:

1. Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton's layered bob is both professional and stylish. Her hair looks natural and easy to maintain, which is good considering she spent $600 to make it look that way.

So there you have it. Good, bad and downright strange -- a definitive ranking of the candidate's hairstyles. But in all seriousness, picking the next president of the United States isn't a simple as choosing the one with the best hairstyle. Make sure you do your research and vote for who you think is the best choice for the country. Not sure where to start? Check out iSideWith to take a quiz that will match you with a candidate. See you at the polls on Nov. 8.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
