Miles travel between you and I. I stand at the edge of the still sea, portals of light ebb within the tranquil water. I step upon this sky, my eyes reflect the stars which shine so brilliantly. As I dive into the sea, I swim towards the closest star, I need to grasp it in order to feel it, it is one of our blissful memories.
I am finally a few feet away from this star, one of the portals to the Sun which is hidden within the earth. I sob as a current drags me from the warmth and nearer to the shallows, where the water brings winter to the soul; it is the place where the bones begin to freeze and where the oxygen thins dramatically.
This whirlpool finally wrestles me back to the surface. It's only been a few hours yet I have lost count of how many times I've been brought back. It seems to matter not where I dive. My strength has sunk from its peak, yet there are many places my feet have not yet touched, so I will not grow too weak to travel this ocean vast. I know that I will find that place where knowledge holds my grieving soul. Though distance forces us apart, we shall never grow distant within each other's hearts.
