One of the most popular times of the year to break up is from the end of November to the middle of December. Maybe your partner is overly stressed at the thought of spending the holidays with you, or maybe he/she is just a jerk. Nevertheless, you can't really have an enjoyable Christmas or even a Happy New Year when you've just gotten dumped. You will most likely spend the rest of the year locked in your room, contemplating life. Maybe you could feel at least a little bit better after taking a nap. Whether it's a crush or an ex, you should try to do something right about it.
1. Admit It
It's over, but you still have feelings for that person. Lots of feelings. However, you won't be able to forget about all those moments immediately. Admit that you're not over it, and instead, think of ways that you can. The same thing goes for crushes. The more you deny that you like them, the more you will get into them. If they're already your friend, don't distance yourself from them. Don't force yourself to get over them, either. Just like breaking up, feelings don't stay forever. Nothing lasts forever.
2. Find Interest In Other People
Turn your attention away from them and focus on someone else. Help a friend who needs someone to talk to, or practice playing with the feelings of others (okay, not really). Stop stalking them to see how they're doing, because they're most likely having a hard time, too. Go out with friends, and distract yourself with the company of others. You would find that hanging out is more enjoyable than you thought. Additionally, you have to make up for neglecting your friends while chasing after your love, right?
3. Take Care of Yourself
This is mostly for those who have suffered a tragic breakup. Go perform some skin care, buy your favorite clothes and wear them outside, eat a bunch of chocolate, ice cream, and candy. Go outside and exercise. Do anything that would make you feel better about yourself because you are the first priority and no one is better than you. Get your self-confidence up, and find yourself a better person. Style up your hair, take a shower, get rid of all that acne, look at yourself in the mirror, and compliment yourself because you are the very best!!!
4. Give it Time
Time heals everything. Once you've waited long enough, the feelings will go away, and you will feel great about yourself. By that time, you would've changed. You would've gotten hotter and smarter. Make that person who stole your heart regret losing you. You'll feel great to have no more feelings for that jerk. As said before, nothing lasts forever, especially negative feelings.
