On September 16th, 2016, I received an email letting me know that I was accepted into the Disney College Program for the Spring Advantage 2017 semester. This means that I will be working attractions from January-August 2017 (with the hopes of extending). During this very brief period of time between last Friday, and today, I've gotten to know some pretty awesome people. I cannot wait to share so many memories with them, and begin this crazy adventure in the happiest places on earth. And so, this article is going to be dedicated to them - and I'm hoping they all get a chance to look at it and know just how thoroughly excited I am about this opportunity!

I am so thoroughly excited and grateful that I stumbled upon that Google Hangout link Friday night, because what transpired could almost be deemed as "magical." We were 8 strangers who had received (or not) their acceptances only a few days ago, and we were trying to find people to connect with, not really sure where this was going. It started out by just talking and telling each other about ourselves, and somehow it ended up being the best thing ever. We began the call around 11pm or so, and by 5am we were deemed as the "fambam."

And again, it was like pure magic. I've always been one to step up and be super social and get myself out there - that's how I've made some of the best friends ever. And the fact that we're all bonding over one thing: Disney, is quite honestly the most magical thing ever. We've made plans to hang out and do things and I couldn't be more excited for January to come so I can meet these wonderful people and become even closer - and I've only known these people since Friday!

I can't tell you guys how much I look forward to our - what seems - to be our nightly Google hangouts, and look forward to the countless text messages and GroupMe messages I receive throughout the day. I love the random Snapchats that fill my day with joy, and it's so surprising to me that we all connected so so so fast.

I know that we have a couple hundred days to go before we get to January, but can I just say how much I thoroughly enjoy each and every one of you? You all are each incredibly different and unique and I'm so thankful that I decided to join this conversation on Friday night. I can't wait to get to know you better, and for it to be January so we can eat dole whips, take pictures with Mickey, have adventures around the parks, vlog and Snapchat pictures of Disney, hit up all the restaurants and all the countless ideas we've had.

January can't come soon enough, y'all. I'm so stoked for this adventure, and I'm hoping it's going to be just as magical as I think it's going to be.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
