We are human - biological creatures with a taste for novelty and freedom. What colors us is our fashion and we wear it proudly.
This week I asked my friends to share with me what they love to wear; a wide variety of responses from function to fad and everything in between.
Taye
"My style is spontaneous...I wear nails, sometimes I wear lipstick, nothing extremely flamboyant, but spontaneously simple."
His assemblage: a long-sleeve black tunic, a skinny jean, and his Timberland boots. Rugged yet artfully selected, the outfit was functional and served its purpose of getting him through his heavily scheduled days.
Dominique
"As long as something draws attention, I'll more than likely love it."
#OOTD was a white button-up with wine-colored chinos

Abby
"I incorporate older pieces while making it modern and fashionable for today's world."
Spotted in a black mini, Ab wore her vintage cardigan in a fall favorite color: olive green. She sported brown leather booties with a round token necklace.
MaryFaye
Short (Striped) & Sweet
MF showed (not-too-much) skin in her black and white, striped dress and suede pumps.
Carlos
Prêt-à-porter, his outfit consisted of a navy turtle neck and matching trousers with suede loafers and a neutral flannel to top it off. Clinging to his cross-body bag.
Makaila
One word: Class.
Directly from class, Kaila sported a scholarly shirt and tie, layered with a simple cardigan, and balanced with a pair of leather, high-top Vans.
Bradford
Black is back in a whole new way.
All black everything was the name of his game. Bradford kept it sleek with no color, but all the attitude.
Cool. Collected. Charisma.
She tucked her neon yellow sweater into her high waisted pencil skirt. Nothing novel in concept, but entirely new and refreshed. Her glasses and color scheme threw it back to the 80s, the boots an homage to the 70s, and her hair transported us to the 60s.
