What's better than listening to a song and realizing that it's obvious the music artist wrote it because he or she knows your life? Nothing. It was meant to be. Here's a list of 15 songs to sum up some of the most memorable and greatest moments of college your freshman year.

1. "No Vacancy" - OneRepublic

"But ever since I met you
No vacancy because of you
There's no vacancy, no empty rooms"

Dorm living means you'll never live alone again... or for at least a whole year.

2. "Cash Machine" - D.R.A.M.

"I ain't talkin' to you broke b------ I got money now"

For all the freshmen that live solely off of graduation money for the first few months.

3. "Starving" - Hailee Steinfeld, Grey, Zedd

"By the way, by the way, you do things to my body
I didn't know that I was starving till tasted you"

A little tune for when you're starving for that guy/girl crush you made during orientation or if you're literally starving because dining hall food isn't your thing.

4. "All Night Longer" - Sammy Adams

"A couple rounds going down like water
I wanna go all night longer
'Cause I do this every night
I wanna do this every night"

To the naïve freshmen who think they can handle themselves on their first (or every) night out on their own.

5. "Broccoli" - D.R.A.M. ft. Lil Yachty

"In the middle of the party b---- get off me
In the cut I'm rolling up my broccoli"

If you're not from Colorado, this "veggie" might be a newbie for some college freshmen.

6. "POWER" - Kanye West ft. Dwele

"I'm living in the 21st century doin' something mean to it
Do it better than anybody you ever seen do it
Screams from the haters got a nice ring to it"

Performed by the one and only Mr. Kanye West, this song is a reminder that regardless of whatever sport your school is good at, athletic events are always hype. (Go jays!)

7. "Bounce Back" - Big Sean

"Last night took an L, but tonight I bounce back"

Taking L's? It happens to the best of us. This is also known as the unofficial anthem of college.

8. "Don't Leave" - Snakehips, MØ

"Don't go
What we have here is irreplaceable
No, I won't trade this for nothing
I may not ever get my s--- together
But ain't nobody gonna love you better"

Play this when you're convinced you can love your roomies and new friends better than their own families. *applies to any break or separation situation*

9. "Pretty" - Hypercolor ft. Che Ecru

"She don't love me, but I know, know she will
pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty"

Do you have the "srat" or "frat" life in mind? Recruitment coming up? Prepare yourself.

10. "Here Comes the Sun" - The Beatles

"Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say,
It's alright"

A song dedicated to the glorious, yet dreadful morning following inevitable all-nighters.

11. "Fake Love" - Drake

"I got fake people showing' fake love to me
Straight up to my face, straight up to my face"

When your professor "guarantees" a curve on the exam, then changes his mind.

12. "HUMBLE." - Kendrick Lamar

"Its level to it, you and I know, b----, be humble
Sit down, be humble"

To those students who complain about their 95% score.

13. "Young Dumb & Broke" - Khalid

"But we still got love to give
While we're young dumb
Young, young dumb and broke"

When George Washington, Abe Lincoln, Andrew Jackson, and Ben Franklin are no longer familiar faces you carry with you.

14. "Three Little Birds" - Bob Marley & The Wailers

"Don't worry about a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be alright"

To all of those freshmen who thought "I know exactly what I want to do with my life" but now have absolutely no idea.

15. "Congratulations" - Post Malone ft. Quavo

"They said I wouldn't be nothing
Now they always say congratulations"

Congrats you made it through one of the best four years of your life. Ready for round two?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
