Formal is one of the biggest events of the year for many sororities and fraternities. It's basically prom on steroids. There's good music, dancing, and it gives us an excuse to get really dressed up. Oh, and there's free food. That's probably the most important part. If you're in a sorority and have ever been to a formal, here's the process you've probably adopted along the way:

1. You wake up ready to go. You've picked the perfect dress and are ready for a night of fun with your favorite people (your sisters).

2. You've hardly started getting ready when you realize that you're already running out of time.

T-1 Hour until pictures yet your hair is half-done and you're still in your sweats. Cue panic attack.

3. You decide that you need to take some liquid chill pills (aka shots) before proceeding further.

4. You and your squad are finally ready to go.

So you head off to the pregame. At first, it looks a little like this:

....And then after about five minutes it turns into this:

5. It's 30 minutes past the time you were supposed to be at pictures so you slowly make your way down.

And to be honest, the walk there is pretty rough.

6. You show up to pictures after the pregame and suddenly everyone is your best friend. Somehow you manage to take 100+ photos in one night.

7. Pictures are over and you are ready to go! You impatiently wait for the buses to come and it feels as if they're never going to.

8. The buses finally come and you sprint...

(as fast as humanly possible in heels) there as if your life depends on it. You might even knock someone down in the process.

9. You make it to formal and grab a table.

The first thing you see is that the buffet is ready Heart eyes emoji. The food is so amazing that you proceed to eat like this:

10. After you've stuffed yourself with food, you throw off your shoes and head to the dance floor.

11. All of a sudden somehow it's already time to go. You had an awesome night, but you're still pretty messed up.

12. You get back to your room and fall asleep as soon as you hit the pillow.

You're exhausted, but you go to bed completely happy (and a little dizzy).

13. You wake up the next morning feeling a little like this:

.....or this

14. But eventually you drink some water and you're fine.

Formal was a blast and you're already ready to go again. Only 365 more days to go!

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

8tracks radio

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. You know when you're going through and you hear a song where you're just like "I forgot this existed!" and before you know it, you're singing every word? Yeah, me too. Like, 95% of the time. If you're like me and LOVE some good throwback music, here's a list of songs from every genre that have gotten lost in time, but never truly forgotten.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
