Personal

Almay ConcealerCollege is hard. We stay up too late, don't exercise or sleep enough and if you're like me, do everything last minute. I am one of the lucky ones that don't have an 8 am, therefore, I sleep as late as possible.

Personally, I feel more confident with just a little something on my face and stumbled across these products during high school that made senior year extremely easy to get ready for and I have carried over this routine to College where it has worked wonders for me.

I love these products and I hope you are able to give them a try and get just as much out of them like me!

1. Olay

Moisturizer is important no matter the time of the year but with winter approaching quickly, this is my favorite light weight moisturizer. It smells great, is very inexpensive and lasts a long time.

This product combines the protection against the cold and possible dryness your skin may experience as well as the uv rays that are always present. This is the first step in my routine and I apply about a half dime size to my face as well as my neck.

2. Concealer

We all know that with the stress of all of our activities and assignments we may break out here and there. We also are guilty of not getting enough sleep on most occasions leading to dark under eyes. My solution to both of these is this Almay Concealer that had Salic acid to fight acne as well as light to medium coverage for those bags. I use the shade 100 Light, this product too is also college budget frinedly. This is my second step and I apply this to my under eyes and any problem areas with a damp beauty blender.

3. Compact Powder

To also combat my dark under eyes I use a white compact powder with either my ring finger or a small fluffy brush and dust a small amount on. This helps me to look more awake after a long night or early morning of studying. This powder helps to keep my concealer from creasing as well. This product is super affordable and lasts forever. I use it after my concealer.

4. Bronzer

To give my face some color especially in the winter and when I'm sick, when am I not though, I use this bronzer. I apply this with a thick big brush to my cheeks in a contour shape as well as my forehead. This simply helps to add some color to my face after getting rid of the only color I did have, even though it was purple. I have the mini version which wasn't too pricey and I love it! I will be rebuying it once it runs out, which won't be anytime soon. I do this after my compact powder.

5. Mascara

I used this Clinique mascaras to finish off my natural look with some wispy lashes. I prefer this mascara because it doesn't clump and it lengthens my lashes and helps to lift them. This mascara isn't too pricey for what you get. I sometimes use an eyelash curler with this to help exaggerate my lashes. This is my final step.

In all, my routine takes about 10 minutes or less and leaves my feeling confident, bright eyes and moisturized! These products won't cost much and will be part of you everyday essentials. I love them and I hope you do too!

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

If you're like me and LOVE some good throwback music, here's a list of songs from every genre that have gotten lost in time, but never truly forgotten.
