I've recently come to the conclusion that there are few things you can truly rely on in life, but you can always rely on ice cream. Ice cream won't give you a final exam, break your heart, or lie to you. It's always there for comfort, nourishment, or just pure enjoyment. Because of this, it is very easy to become an ice cream addict but, hey, there are a lot worse things to be addicted to.

1. It is perfectly acceptable to eat ice cream for every meal.

Why do people question it? Ice cream all day, every day.

2. Ice cream is an all year treat.

Ha! Seasonal! Good one! No the winter is not too cold to stop eating this delicious substance. Yes, I will continue to eat it despite the freezing temperatures.

3. You don't understand people who don't like ice cream.

Well ice cream doesn't like you either. You're probably in cahoots with Satan or something.

4. You will never say "no" to ice cream.

There is always ( I repeat, always) room for ice cream.

5. You will drive any distance for the flavor you want.

But I just really need avocado flavored (it's a real thing) ice cream!

6. Trying new flavors excites you.

Excuse me, but can I try this flavor? And this one? And this one?

7. But you also love the classics.

Strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla, you guys are the real MVPs.

8. Cone or cup?

Easy answer: both.

9. You have a soft spot for soft serve.

That perfect swirl just got me feeling some type of way.

10. You love to post your ice cream on Instagram.

Obviously, since you live by the philosophy pics or it didn't happen.

11. The thought of no ice cream makes you feel sad (very, very sad).

Let's just but it this way, a world without ice cream is a world that I just don't want to be.

So shout out to ice cream for making me the addict I am today. Even if I was lactose intolerant, I would risk my own well being to keep you in my life. Stay sweet, my good friend.
