I have recently become addicted to the Facebook marketplace. It is great to use to browse through random stuff and stumble upon some great treasures which you didn't even know you needed.

There are so many things in it for next to nothing - sometimes even for free - which makes this minor addiction actually a great use of your time. Some of them are so clearly great bargains, and being offered by very motivated sellers, that it is tempting to take the offers just to turn around and go sell it on Ebay or GumTree for a decent profit. I am certain many people are doing this.

But even if you don't want to do this to make money, just saving money is guaranteed.

Buying new things always feels great, sure, but if you really think about it, you know that you really don't need to get new stuff all the time. Second hand stuff is nearly always just as good. Sometimes it is even better.

So give the Facebook marketplace a try for yourself. You might find some great stuff. Just be sure to act quickly - some of the things listed on it disappear within an hour!
