We've been waiting since August.

9 Things We're All Thinking At The End Of The Fall Semester

College never gets easier and the semesters seem to get longer every year. The fall classes seem a lot more fun in some instances because of all the football games on the weekends, the huge bonfire parties, and the fair that comes to town. With all that said, we still can’t wait until that whole month break that’s right around the corner. In honor of our favorite month approaching, here are nine things we’re all thinking of at the end of the semester.

1. How many bonus points do I need to turn this B into an A?

It's crunch-time. We all know that means it's time for us to beg our teachers for bonus points and extra credit opportunities so that we can make our GPA bump back up.

2. Is anyone going to be in town for Christmas?

During the school year, you’d think this town was huge…Stay over Christmas break and you'll find out that only about four people live here.

3. I probably could have done better in that class.

I think one of the worst things about the semester is looking back at a class that was so easy but you got lazy on and now have a C instead of an A.

4. I wonder what my GPA will be by the end of this semester.

I can't tell you how many times I've used the GPA calculator. That thing can really hype you up but it can also make you want to drop out of classes altogether.

5. I don't even want to calculate my grade for this class.

We all have that one class that we want a great grade in but the works just seemed so excessive at some points. Making yourself calculate the grade can be harder than any of the test you have to take in there.

6. I should probably start studying for this final.

Ah, finals week is the worst. There's no sleeping, no eating, and no socializing because your brain is completely wrapped around the thought of every test you have to take that week.

7. I should probably go ahead and write that paper over Thanksgiving break.

You have a huge essay due at the end of the semester for your upper-level class, and it would be a great idea to go ahead and get it out of the way while you have a whole week's worth of time... But you probably won't do it.

8. I'm going to make sure I don't make myself stressed out over the fact that I'll be stressed out next semester.

If you're anything like me, stress gets the best of you and your anxiety tells you to go ahead and stress over stuff that hasn't even happened yet.

9. How should I celebrate the end of the semester?

This is the most fun question. You know after a long semester you deserve to go out and turn up with your friends. You love any reason to go out end dress up with your best pals, and I can't think of a better reason than the fact that you survived a whole ‘nother semester.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
