Napping Everywhere And 10 Crazy Things You Do When You're Home Alone

My family went on a week vacation this month which I, unfortunately, wasn't able to go on. As a college student, I thought, "that's fine. I can stay home alone. I know how to take care of myself," and yet still found myself doing these ten crazy things in my time alone.

1. Cooking some very nutritious meals

Giphy

There's no meal plan at home, so meals either consist of food you buy when you're out or a combination of whatever is left in the cabinets. Thank you Wawa hoagiefest for existing.

2. Singing. Out loud. Everywhere

Giphy

I feel like I ran through just about every song I could in like one day.

3. For some reason, cleaning

Giphy

I guess there's something about not being told to clean your room every day that makes you suddenly want to clean it. Sorry Mom.

4. Using rooms you never get to use

Giphy

I don't think I've used the living room as much in the seventeen years I've lived here as I did the week I was left home alone. It's actually a pretty nice room; who would've thought!

5. Not being quiet when you come home at 2 a.m.

Giphy

I mean, we can pretend me getting home late was from having fun and not getting home from work, but I could be as loud as I wanted with no worries regardless.

6. Having to shop for yourself

Giphy

Which is a scary and confusing and expensive experience all in one. I just avoided it.

7. You're constantly worried about getting robbed

Giphy

Hear a funny noise downstairs? No, it's probably not the dog roaming around on the hardwood flooring; it's got to be a robber.

8. Bothering your poor dog

Kayla Quinn

I'm pretty sure my dog both hates and loves me after that week.

9. Having full on conversations out loud

Giphy

At one point, I left my house and literally said hello to my car. Got some pretty strange looks from onlookers.

10. And, inevitably, missing your family like crazy

Kayla Quinn

As happy as I was to have some space, I missed my family. The house is just a bit too big for one person all by themselves.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
