Everyone knows that University of Colorado Boulder is better than Colorado State University. Just look at the saying, “If you can’t go to college, go to state”, it says it all. CU has so much to offer and so many things that make it better than CSU. There are lots of reasons that show that CU is clearly the better school to go to and the better place to be.

Who won the Rocky Mountain Showdown this year? Oh, that’s right, CU did. We won 27-24. Not to mention, Cam the Ram also died on that day, abandoning his school and leaving his fans mascot-less. Ralphie the Buffalo stood strong with her fans. She wasn’t going to die on us in a time of need. Clearly, CU was better that day, and in general.

CU basketball is better in the 2016 season as well. This past December, CU Men’s Basketball beat CSU 88-77. To make it even better, we beat CSU on their home court. CU athletics outweigh CSU’s any day.

The Flatirons speak for themselves. They are the most beautiful part of Boulder and if you attend CU, you have the privilege to look at them every day. Not to mention the hiking terrain that they provide. The Flatirons are the landmark of Boulder. CSU has nothing to compare in the scenery category.

The campus of CU is overall better than the campus of CSU. The buildings are unique because they are made with red bricks to resemble Tuscan architecture. CU also has The Hill. It is convenient and fun to have a place to go out to on the weekends where all the frat and house parties happen. It is all in one area, which makes the campus and college town vibes ideal. Not to mention, we have a pool shaped like a buffalo.

CU is a Pac 12 school, a Power Five Conference, so we have more intense and exciting games. CSU is part of the Mountain West conference, which is much less known. CU has bigger, more fun and more energetic game atmospheres. This also means CU has more school spirit. We support all of our teams, making any sporting event an unforgettable time.

Another famous part of CU is where our Buffs play football. Folsom Field is notorious for being beautiful and full of energy and good vibes at all times. It clearly outweighs CSU’s Hughes Stadium.

Most college students like to party, and the party scene at CU is unbeatable. With the frat houses and the crazy house parties, there is never a dull weekend at CU. CSU’s party scene is still good, but it is incomparable to the party scene at CU. There is always something going on in Boulder.

In my opinion, it is a given that CU is the better school out of the two. CU has so much more to offer and is located in such a beautiful place. Don’t worry Rams; CU does take transfer students! We all know you would rather be here. I think I have made my point that clearly; it sucks to be a CSU Ram. Sko Buffs!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
