1. To give you Mom advice!
Mothers Know Best, right?
2. To find anything.
"Mom! Have you seen my black college sweatshirt?!"
"In the laundry room."
"Mom! Have you seen my laptop?"
"On the kitchen table."
I know that you can relate.
3. To take care of you when your sick.
NOTHING is worse than being sick and not having your Mom to take care of you. She always knows the best ways to make you feel better.
4. To clean up after you.
When you go to college you will soon find out just how much your Mom really does. Your room will become a disaster and you will end up having to clean it. You figure out that you ACTUALLY need to do work because your Mom isn't there to clean up after you.
5. To cook homemade meals.
One of the first things you will miss when you arrive at college. The "Caf" food is only great for so long. Soon you will be craving your Mom's homemade hotdish, or even something as simple as pizza.
6. To do your laundry.
You actually have to figure out how to wash and dry your own clothes without ruining them. Who knew that a laundry machine had SO many buttons, modes, timers, and places to put the detergent in.
7. To go on shopping sprees.
Those lovely trips to the Mall on a Saturday morning with your Mom you can kiss goodbye the minute you step into your dorm room. You are now officially a broke college kid.
8. To laugh with you.
Nobody laughs harder at your stupid jokes than your own Mom.
9. To listen to you complain.
In college people really don't care about your problems and "how stressed out you are." But, your Mom always did.
10. To always have your back.
11. To give you a hug.
Sometimes you just need that really good and familiar Mom hug.
11. Always having a best friend.
My Mom is my rock, my backbone, my other half.
I wish it was socially acceptable for your Mom to come to college with you, but sadly it's not so phone calls and Facetime chats will have to suffice.
