In celebration of the "X-Files" reboot on FOX this month, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) released their own "X-Files" on Jan. 21 to give civilians a peak of their investigation in UFO sightings.

The late 1990's tv show, "X-Files," is considered a cult classic that focuses on extraterrestrial cases and government conspiracies. The show stars David Duchovny as Agent Mulder, the believer, and Gillian Anderson as Agent Scully, the skeptic, who work together for the FBI and investigate those "x-files."

It's no surprise that fans of the show and alien investigators alike were in awe with the CIA and their revealing of their own documents on UFOs.

The documents were declassified in 1978, according to the agency on their blog, and that they date primarily from the late 1940s and 1950s.

"To help navigate the vast amount of data contained in our FOIA UFO collection, we’ve decided to highlight a few documents both skeptics and believers will find interesting," the agency said in a post on their blog.

They revealed 10 documents total and has categorized them into five that Agent Mulder would like to prove of extraterrestrial activity and five Agent Scully would like to debunk through scientific evidence.

One of the documents in Mulder's section gave eyewitness accounts of flying saucers in Spain and North Africa where in one case in June 15, 1952 , dock workers in Taourirt, Morocco saw for 30 seconds "a disc of white flames surrounded by two circular strands, with smoke trailing behind it that moved earthward and vanished rapidly."

In Agent Scully's section one of the documents was comments from a UFO panel in January 14-17 in 1953 on the explanation of UFO sighting and cases and other topics on UFO's. In the panel they concluded that "it appeared obvious that there was no single explanation of the majority of the things seen" based on the eyewitness accounts as well as "no direct threat to national security in the objects sighted".

Also for "X-Files" fans there was an interactive map released by CartoDB that shows the places where the episodes took place along with UFO sightings between 1993-2002.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
