Dear Parents with Chronic Illnesses,
This letter is from your children, the ones who love you and want to take care of you. We want to let you know that we love you, we always will, no matter what is going on and how sick you get, we will still be there and love you. We want to take care of you, we want to be in the hospital with you even when you don't want us to see you there, we want to be there to help you like we know you will when we are in the hospital. This is a letter from those who look up to you and to us, you are the strongest person we know. We see you on your good days, and on your bad days. We catch glimpses of the diagnoses and the treatments. Not knowing what they mean or what you are really going through. We pray for you every night because we know that God will help the family through it, and maybe if we pray a little harder or a little longer He will cure you, and sometimes he does, and sometimes he doesn't but God is still good. We love you and always will.
To moms with Chronic Illnesses:
We love you, we might not have understood when we were younger why you couldn't do everything that our friend's mothers did, such as make it to every practice or game, or do our hair every time we asked. But now as adults we understand and we're sorry that we acted like bratty children, we didn't understand and we took it out on you. I pray every day that this day will be a little easier then the last. I pray that someday I can be as brave as you are. You are my hero, and I love you. I need you to know that I love you with every shred of my being. I love you mom.
