When you're in college, I think that it's the easiest season in your life for people to buy gifts for you because, honestly, all college students want the same thing. This list will probably continue to stand the test of time. So here's what every college student loved the most this holiday season..
1. Money
This is always a college students favorite. They can use it to buy food, gas, clothes, or maybe even books.
2. Gift cards
It doesn't matter if it's a gift card to McDonald's or Walmart. We will literally love you for it forever. It's like getting free stuff!
3. Car Parts
I got tires last year and nearly cried. Our cars continue to make funky noises, but we don't have the money to fix them. Thank you for keeping our cars working.
4. Kitchenware
We're trying to live on our own and we have no idea what we're doing. The only kitchenware we have is hand-me-downs that really no one wants to cook with, so opening up a new pot is really the epitome of Christmas morning.
5. School Supplies
I honestly don't know what happens to my pens and pencils, but thank God that I have family that gives me more every year. I didn't realize how expensive mechanical pencils were until college.
6. Electronics
We usually want that new gadget (I'm looking at you new iPhone), but we cannot afford it. If we are lucky enough to find it under our tree, we flip out. Our college student budget does not allow for luxuries.
7. Necessities
Socks and a new toothbrush? Thank you! That's literally less money that I have to spend. A giant box of goldfish crackers? You're a saint.
8. Clothes
If it weren't for you, I'd probably continue wearing the same two outfits to class everyday.
9. Christmas cards
We love looking back on stuff like this when you're stressed out, missing home, and wondering if it's actually all worth it.
10. Time
The gift of being able to spend time with our families is our absolute favorite gift of all. Being away at college is hard, but it's all worth it when we come in and see smiling faces. We also enjoy the time that we can use to catch up on sleep, but that's a different story.
Thanks for making Christmas so spectacular!
