You had to market yourself for that part in the musical, that spot on the sports team and that acceptance into your dream university and now you have to sell yourself to hundreds of employers for the ultimate job after graduation. It seems very intimidating, right? Having to speak with some of the top companies in the world can do a little damage to your nerves, BUT remember that you have done stuff like this before. If your college offers career fairs or networking events go to them, even if you are a first year student! You will thank yourself later when you are not scrambling to find companies or employers that you are interested in working for.

It can be difficult to figure out where you want to work or what your interests are but it should not be difficult to get your name out there and show people what you are made of! To help guide you on your future endeavors of career and internship networking, especially at career fairs, check out these tips!

1. Make a list of the companies you are interested in and research them beforehand


2. Dress in your best business casual or professional outfit

3. Print out and bring at least five copies of your resume

4. Be positive and open about anything that intrigues you

5. Introduce yourself to employers and ask them well-thought out questions

6. Be patient

7. Be confident

8. Ask for employers' contact information for future references

9. Send out thank you emails to people you talked to and connect with them on LinkedIn

10. Be yourself, smile, have fun
