7 Reasons Why Brooke Davis Is My Spirit Animal

Brooke Penelope Davis is undoubtedly one of the most adored female TV characters by our generation. Throughout the nine seasons and 187 episodes of "One Tree Hill," she won most of our hearts with her feisty spirit, determination, her way of finding herself, and her charm. If we're being serious, all of us who have spent hours binge-watching "One Tree Hill" on Netflix have wished we were Brooke Davis more than once. Actually, we've probably wished that so many times, we may be kinda convinced that Brooke Davis is our spirit animal. Why? Some of you souls who have yet to invest your time into the "One Tree Hill" world may ask. Well, here ya go.

1. She always told it how it was.

With Brooke, you never had to wonder what she was feeling. After a while, she made you realize that not being able to hide your emotions isn't always a bad thing.

2. She wasn't scared to be vulnerable at times.

While no one ever doubted how strong Brooke Davis was, she was always vulnerable when it was needed the most. She had a way of letting her loved ones know what was running through her mind.

3. Despite the heartbreaks, she always found hope in the sticky situations.

There's no doubt Brooke Davis's heart went through the wringer in the first few seasons, but in the end, she always found the brighter side. And that is something every single one of us could be better at.

4. She learned some lessons the hard way like every girl has to.

Whenever Brooke ended up with the short end of the stick, she (maybe not always immediately) learned a lesson from it. After a while, she learned how to protect her heart and keep it open at the same time.

5. She learned her worth.

While it took some time, Brooke figured out that she was whole on her own. And once she realized that she didn't need a man to complete her, but just to compliment her and her dreams, she was unstoppable.

6. She knew how to have a good time.

No matter the situation, everyone in Tree Hill could always count on Brooke to bring laughter to the party. Whether she did it with her with wit or sometimes overly dramatic sarcasm, B. Davis was almost always the life of the party.

7. She was unapologetically herself.

As Brooke grew throughout the show, one thing never wavered - Brooke's genuineness. She may have not always made the right decisions or known what to do, but she never tried to be anything she was not.

"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Brilliant and beautiful and brave. In two years, she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I’m not sure she even knows it." -- Lucas Scott, "An Unkindness of Ravens"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
