Competitive bowling is definitely a world of its own. All bowlers that participate in league (everyone does at some point in their career) can understand the certain emotions that manifest. Why not express those emotions using funny gifs from a beloved TV show? Parks and Recreation is a popular show that always knows how to make people laugh. Here's league as told by Parks and Rec:

1. Walking in all excited for the evening:

"I'm so gonna shoot 700 tonight."

2. Giving yourself a quick mental pep talk before before practice starts:

League is typically more relaxed than a tournament, but you still want to prep yourself so you bowl well.

3. When your friend isn't on the same lane so you have to visit them after every frame:

"I'll be right back, I'm up."

4. When you get a strike your first frame of the night:

"Tonight's gonna be a good night."

5. Trying to post your shot but the approach is slicker than you thought:

"Does anyone have a shoe brush I can borrow?"

6. Any time you don't carry a really good shot:

It's worse when you leave the dreaded 7-10 split.

7. The slight panic you feel when you can't immediately find your tape/thumb slug/sole/shoe cover:

Bowlers have a lot of stuff to keep track of, so it's easy for accessories to get misplaced. Bowlers don't like when their accessories are misplaced.

8. Making a small adjustment but it just makes things worse:

"Okay, I keep going high, let's move a board left." *Goes through the face* "Oh."

9. When you're frustrated and someone tries talking to you:

Maybe you wouldn't say that, but you would think it.

10. Switching to your favorite ball and it gives you a great look, reminding you why it's your favorite in the first place:

For most people, it's the IQ Tour. For me, it's the Purple Taboo.

11. Finally finding a look and you start stringing strikes:

Transition during a three/four game set can be terrible, but you'll survive. Then you'll thrive.

12. Leaving to go home after you turned in your scores:

You survived another week of doing what you love.

Laughter is part of life. If you can't laugh about something you care about, do you truly care? I hope bowlers can get a good laugh and consider this article to be #relatable.

Going to the gym and working out on a daily basis (with breaks once in awhile) has been a great way for me to feel good about myself. It is 100% more than just looking good. Especially after starting college and having the stress and anxiety of tests, assignments, and just figuring out my future, the gym at my school has definitely been a place of relief for me and I have numerous reasons of why everyone should push themselves to get to the gym when they can.

It is a time where one day you can feel like you are on top of the world and then the next day you are 500 feet below the ground surface.

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.
