Biblical Encouragement For The Recent Graduate

If you're a soon to be graduate, life might seem really hectic. You're probably drowning in job or grad school applications, finding a new place to live, graduation specifics, and attempting to enjoy the last few months of college. Trust me, I know the feeling all too well. Unfortunately, a lot of it is not in our control. When I feel like I have no control over a situation, I like to lean on God and let him take the steering wheel. If you want some guidance towards that, here are a few bible verses to get you started…

"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged" Deuteronomy 31:8

"I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken" Psalm 16:8

"'For I know the plans I have for you', declares the Lord 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'" Jeremiah 29:11

"Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord himself is the rock eternal" Isaiah" 26:4

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go" Joshua 1:9

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" Proverbs 3:5-6

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them" Romans 8:28

"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails" Proverbs 19:21

Don't worry -- He has a plan for you & everything will be just fine.
