If you have a big family, you know the little things on Thanksgiving make the day so special.
Such as:
It's Like a Mini Family Reunion
GiphyI know for so many people (including myself) this is the only time of year I get to see a distant, but favorite cousin, or even grandparents.
The Preparation
GiphyWhat other time of year one can watch football all day while trying to make it seem like 9 hours worth of cooking is worth feeding all these people and then thinking everything is okay because they say they are "thankful for the meal you prepared"?
The Food
GiphySince everyone from your mother to your aunt's sister's brother, there has to be more than enough for seconds and thirds.
Or when can you eat your own weight in mashed potatoes, turkey, green bean casserole, and cranberry sauce and not be judged for it?
Either The Most Embraced Or The Most Despised... The *Shopping*
GiphyBlack Friday! Where stores slowly hike up prices and then "slash the prices". Or it's a fabulous time where you can get quality people watching. For others, its quality bonding time over the conversation of 'they never have my size!'.
Then the overfull feeling goes away after a borderline hibernation map and excitement over the new sweater you got for only 34.2% of its original price. Then the reality of parting ways for another 363 days or so sets in. You give your aunt, uncle, 3rd cousin 2nd removed, and grandparents good bye.
But, then you remember it's only less than a year until you get to do it all over again!
