Back in middle school I was the kid who would never admit to liking Justin Bieber; he sounded like a girl and his long hair swoop was silly. I remember back in eighth grade when he cut his infamous bowl cut and my teacher looked it up and projected a photo a now short-haired Bieber and thinking "this is waste of class time." But now...now I am full-fledged 100% a Belieber.
For starters, have you seen him lately?
Yes, this is the boy who once looked like this:
He went from "nice to meet you sir" to "she calls me daddy too."
Despite all of his negative press in recent years (peeing in a mop bucket, driving at ridiculous speeds, saying Anne Frank would've been a Belieber, etc), he has managed to make an incredible comeback. His new album "Purpose" debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. He actually beat himself out for the number one on the UK single chart. "Love Yourself" bumped "Sorry" down to number two. "What Do You Mean" is holding out at number four. The last male artist to have three songs in the top five was John Lennon in 1981. Justin Bieber's performance at the 2015 VMAs ended with him in tears because he has grown from the troublesome teen star gone wrong to a more respectable, adult man.
I think it's safe to say Justin Bieber has made an outstanding comeback for himself, earning the respect of even the most anti-Belieber.
