For me, it all started in fourth grade when I began to read Harry Potter. I read the second book first because someone checked out the first one, and I just couldn't wait. For some, they start reading it later, and now for some, the Harry Potter generation are reading it as a bedtime story for their children. Thanks to the beautifully done illustrated children's book edition of the Sorcerer's Stone, young children can read it.
As a Potterhead, I'm so excited for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I'm sure Eddie Redmayne is going to do a fantastic job as Newt Scamander since he nabbed the latest Oscar win for Best Actor. I'm really interested in seeing what the plot is and what the wizarding world is like in America. I'm not the biggest fan of "No-Maj", but I'm really interested in seeing the other aspects. Will they show a quidditch team? (If they do, real life quidditch teams should take note of plays haha.) Do American wizards stand out among "No-Majs" like the wizards in Harry Potter? Do they drink butterbeer too? There's so many questions that I can't wait to see if they'll be answered.
I'm also excited for the play, and I would love to go see it in London. I'm really hoping that they bring the play to America because millions of fans in America don't have the funds to travel across the Atlantic to go see it, myself included. Will the original cast members reprise their roles?
It's so awesome to see the world of Harry Potter expanding after the end of the books and movies. It seems like the wizarding world is growing in some way every day, and people of all ages are going to be in line waiting for the new movie and play. You best believe that I'll be in the line of the midnight premiere. Because of the characters, the wizarding world, and J.K. Rowling's wonderful story telling abilities, Harry Potter will forever live on, and for Potterheads, Hogwarts will always be our home.
