They really deserve so much better.

8 Movies That Got Bad Reviews, But Still Defined My Childhood

They might be rated as "bad" but these movies rate 100% in my mind. I grew up on these movies and I'm not turning my back on them now.

1. "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (2001)

Giphy

It only got 20% on Rotten Tomatoes but she taught me how to be a bada** b****.

2. "RV" (2006)

Giphy

Even though it has a 23% on Rotten Tomatoes, the fact that JoJo is in this movie is amazing. Josh Hutcherson is so cute before he grew up and became a "Hunger Games" hottie.

3. "White Chicks" (2004)

Giphy

A 15% on Rotten Tomatoes is an actual travesty. I'm going to make my kids watch this movie, that's how much I love it.

4. "A Cinderella Story" (2004)

Giphy

Chad Michael Murray is everyone's dream prince charming and an 11% on Rotten Tomatoes doesn't do him justice.

5. "Space Jam" (1996)

Giphy

A 38% is way too low for this classic. If you don't know the "Space Jam" theme song, I don't want to know you.

6. "National Treasure" (2004)

Giphy

This movie is a national treasure and with a 44% Rotten Tomatoes rating, I'm disappointed. This movie inspired every kid to want to find a hidden treasure.

7. "The Princess Diaries" (2001)

Giphy

If you thought princess movies were only animated, you were wrong. And to think, this funny movie only got a 47% on Rotten Tomatoes.

8. "Miss Congeniality" (2002)

Giphy

This deserves higher than a 42%. Sandra Bullock makes this movie with her comedy and charisma.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

8tracks radio

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. If you're like me and LOVE some good throwback music, here's a list of songs from every genre that have gotten lost in time, but never truly forgotten.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
