27 Thoughts All College Students Have Definitely Had

You have probably read multiple articles with a similar title, however, I think you'll find that this list is the ultimate list of thoughts you think on a daily basis as a college student. You might even tag your parents in hopes that they will understand you a tiny bit better. College is hard, and these thoughts couldn't be truer.

1. It's Friday... Why isn't class cancelled?

I mean come on, what teacher, let alone student, truly wants to go to class on a Friday? Especially if it's raining... That's just plan cruel.

2. If I have to put on rain boots to go class, I shouldn't be going at all.

3. Why is it so hard to keep my room clean?

4. Why is everyone staring at me on the concourse? Do I have something on my face?

5. I'm so annoyed that I have a test today...

6. I don't understand why I can never go to sleep before 1 a.m.

7. I feel like I could be really healthy if I stopped ordering pizza every week.

8. Why do bad things happen to good people?

9. I need to buy more shampoo and body wash but I also need money for going out this weekend...

10. I wish I could take up reading as a hobby but I don't have any time.

11. I should really be better about being on my phone so much.

12. I feel like I'm out of shape but I also feel like I've been eating healthy...

13. Why is it so hard to remember to do laundry?

14. If I had a dollar for every time I said "Hey how are you?" and "I'm good!" I'd be able to drop out of college.

15. How does sitting down for 50 minutes make your butt sweat?

16. I can either go to sleep and be well rested or I can stay up and be prepared for the test.

17. Is waking up for class really worth it?

18. It's 10:30 in the morning and I'm starving...

19. Why did I choose this major?

20. What is the easiest possible major I can be in but also make lots of money?

21. I'll start studying at 9:30 *9:31* dang I missed it...I guess I'll just have to wait until 10

22. I don't even know what sleep feels like anymore.

23. If I make a 30 on my last test can I still get an A in the class...

24. I'm so excited to go home and take a nap.

25. How do I calculate my GPA?

26. I can't decide if I'm happy being single or I'm just accepting that I'll be alone forever.

27. I'm 100 percent positive that these are all true.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
