Dear best friend,

It isn't easy having a long distance friendship, but you make it totally worth it.

So, here is a quick list of 8 things I want you to know:

1. I miss you.

First of all, I miss you more than you can imagine.

2. No matter how far you are, I'm only a text or call away.

I don't care if it's 3 AM, if you need me, call me.

3. You're irreplaceable.

Yeah, I have other good friends here, but you will always be my BEST friend. That's not changing.

4. We may not talk all the time, but that doesn't change our friendship status.

We both have busy lives, and don't always have time to catch up via phone, but when we do catch up, we catch up. Like for hours.

5. Some of my best memories are with you.

Our 15 years of friendship has been nothing less than adventurous. From cruises together, to randomly selling brownies door-to-door, to slapping each other in the face, my favorite memories are with you.

6. Distance really does make the heart grow fonder.

I appreciate our friendship even more now that you're far away than when you lived around the corner.

7. I am so proud of the lady you have become.

I have literally watched you grow up from a toddler to a woman. I am so very proud of all that you have accomplished and continue to accomplish. I can't wait to see where life's journey takes you.

8. Thank you.

Thank you for your love, support, loyalty, and humour throughout the years. I could not ask for a better person to call "best friend". Even if we are 791 miles away, we are always close at heart.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Bruce Springsteen's Top 7 Lyrics

Everything Bruce says in his classic rock songs.

Anyone who was born and raised in New Jersey (or anywhere really) knows of Bruce Springsteen, whether or not they like him is a whole other situation. I hope that his hundreds of classic rock songs and famous high energy performances, even in his sixties he can put on better concerts than people half his age, are at least recognizable to people of all ages. Love him or hate him (I identify with the former) you have to admit that some of his songs and interviews have inspirational quotes and lyrics.
