The 8 best things about leaving school to go home for Thanksgiving break are something sweet that every college kid looks forward too.

1. Getting to eat a real food, no more of that Sodexo they try to call food!

2. Seeing your crazy family some of them for the first time in a while!

3. Getting to sleep in your own bed is almost like heaven!

4. Showering without shoes on, is the greatest feeling ever!

5. Going home for the short break means that the fall semester is coming to the final stretch, hallelujah.

6. Getting to be home with your pets who missed you so much and show you every day that they love you even if you did just leave them for three months.

7. All your friends who went their separate ways come back home, its a huge reunion filled with laughs and the usual banter.

8. The best part about going home is that this short break is a sneak peek to how Christmas vacation is going to go!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything.
