The 7 Stages of Falling for Ansel Elgort

I didn't believe in love until I saw him.

If you love keeping up with the newest films, then I'm sure you're more than aware of the success of the new action-comedy Baby Driver. While the film itself was magnificent, I couldn't help but realize how amazing Ansel Elgort's lead made the film one I would recommend 11/10. I left the theater in complete awe, and it has only grown worse.

Do not be like me. Avoid Ansel's love spell at all costs.

However, if you're feeling a little weak in the knees when you hear his name... here's the seven stages of falling in love with Ansel that you need to look out for:

1. You re-watch "The Fault in Our Stars" for no reason.

Let's face it: this movie did not live up to my expectation and truthfully, Ansel as Gus Walters did not either. (I'm on the "book was better" bandwagon). There is something about Ansel in this role that sparks a little flame in your heart though, admit it.

2. You wish you were in "Divergent."

Ansel playing a minor role in a popular book-to-film trilogy? Sign me up! No role is too small for you, baby.

3. "Baby Driver" begins to consume every moment of your life.

Ansel Elgort stole my whole heart after watching this movie. It's so difficult to not envy Lily James after watching him fall head over (w)heels or her.

4. You accidentally stumble across the clip of him singing "Easy."

Have you ever heard an angel sing? Well, you have now so you're welcome. Also, can someone please explain how he is hitting those notes so effortlessly? Excuse me while I watch this 80 thousand more times.

5. You search for more clips of Ansel singing and discover he is a musician!

At this point, I'm convinced that there isn't anything he can't do. Is he a real human being or a figment of my imagination? Let me know. Shout out to him for making a real banger though.

6. You realize... He. Can. Dance.

Remember when I was wondering if there was anything he couldn't do? Yeah, he's a jack of all trades. There is only one thing cuter than a basket of puppies and it is Ansel Elgort doing the nae-nae.

7. You follow him on all social media platforms and secretly admire him from afar as you cry yourself to sleep.

Ansel is thriving. He has an empowering woman whom he travels the world with and is never seen without a smile. It is unfortunate I cannot be the one experiencing life's best wonders with him, however that does not stop me from spamming his Instagram with likes every now and then.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
