We are blessed with an amazing school, and here are a few reasons why!
1. Campus is BEAUTIFUL
Seriously, look at this picture.
It makes walking to class so much easier when you have this to look at on the way!
2. We own the GPAC in athletics
We've won the GPAC All Sports Trophy four out of the last five years. This year alone, we won the conference in football, women's soccer, women's basketball, softball, baseball, and women's tennis.
3. Our president is AWESOME
President John Reynders is one of the most sincere and generous people. A few of my friends and I were in line at the Spoonholder and he bought our coffee! You don't get that at a big university. He is in attendance at athletic events and concerts in Eppley. Chances are, you've seen President Reynders walking his dog on campus with his wife Robin. We are so lucky to have him around!
4. Individualized class sizes
As a music major, the majority of my classes have approximately five people in them. The faculty to student ratio is 13:1, which means that your professor will most likely know your name (can be good or bad depending on if you go to class).
5. You meet the best people
I have met the most amazing people here who I know will be my friends forever. Moving to college can be very scary, but the friends you make get you through everything from a failing grade to a break up.
6. We make the most out living in Sioux (Sewer) City
Sioux City isn't terrible, but it isn't Omaha or Iowa City. Morningside knows how to make our own fun ;) (I won't go into detail)
7. Mustang Pride
We wear our M'side gear daily. You can't walk to class without seeing some maroon and white. Our student section is loud and proud while still being classier than most (not saying Briar Cliff but if the shoe fits). I will forever be a Mustang and I will forever love this school.
