5 Malayalam Films To Look Forward To In 2016
Nairuk

In this new age of cinema, we have so many promising faces in the Malayalam film industry. The amount of talent that they have shown until now made us fall in love with them. With all the fantastic and entertaining films released in 2015, it's only natural to be eagerly anticipating to see what 2016 has to offer.

Our favorites have us looking forward to more. It may only be March, but there's a lot in store for this year. There have been already a handful of great films that have been released already this year and there is even more to come. Here are five Malayalam films to forward to this year.

1. Oru Muthassi Gadha

Jude Anthany Joseph is back at it again. He won our hearts with his quirky and cute film, Om Shanti Oshana, which was unique in that the whole story line focused on the female lead. That was a perspective that was new to cinema and now it looks like Jude Anthany Joseph is giving it another shot with this film. I, for one, am looking forward to this. Also with Shaan Rahman and his amazing talent to create wonderful music, I'm sure this film will fail to disappoint.

2. Love in Anjengo

There has not been much that has been said about this film yet. What we do know that this is Pratap Pothen's first film that he's directed after 18 years. With this comeback as a director, he has Anjali Menon as the writer. I mean, Anjali Menon is enough for me to get excited about this film. Not only that, but the wonderful and lovable Dulquer Salmaan will be starring in this film as well.

3. Kammatipaadam

Dulquer Salmaan is on a roll this year with all the promising films he's working on. This is definitely one to look forward to. Kammatipaadam is directed by Rajeev Ravi. It will also be introducing the beautiful Shaun Romy who will be playing Anita. Other actors in this film are Sunny Wayne, Vinay Forrt and Soubin Shahir. This film is said to be released in May.

4. Kali

Ah yes, another Dulquer Salmaan film to look forward to. However, I don't really see that as a problem. I mean, who is complaining here? Not me, that's for sure. South India's chocolate boy will be starring in this film with Sai Pallavi. Pallavi stole our hearts when she played the charming Malar in Premam last year. Kali will be her second film. This film is directed by Sameer Thahir and is supposed to release on March 25th.

5. Jacobinte Swargarajyam

I don't know about you, but when Vineeth Sreenivasan and Shaan Rahman get together I feel like magic happens. Jacobinte Swargarajyam is written and directed by the multi-talented Vineeth Sreenivasan. Music is by Shaan Rahman. Nivin Pauly will be starring in this film, which is said to be about the relationships in families. A significant portion of the film was shot in Dubai and will be releasing March 18th.

This is only a list of five upcoming films. There are so many other films that will be released this year that show many potentials to be amazing films. So grab your popcorn and buy your ticket because you definitely do not want to miss these.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
