After being occupied all semester with studying and extra curriculars I can finally kick back and relax and watch the T.V. shows that I have missed or start ones that I been meaning to watch. As an anime watcher and lover I find myself looking up new anime and rewatching older series as I begin winter break. There are many kinds of anime and a lot of good and entertaining ones that I seem to not get tired of watching. Here are 5 anime shows that will keep your attention all of winter break. You can find the shows on Netflix.
1. Hunter x Hunter
Don't let the cuteness fool you. An adventurous story revolved around a 12-year-old boy named Gon, this anime highlights his growth and journey to find his father. It could get dark but then it has it light moments. There are great battle sequences and the creator of Yu Yu Hakusho, Yoshihiro Togashi, also created this series. You could find similarities if you loved Yu Yu Hakusho.
2. Ouran High School Host Club
One of the first anime I watched that I became obsessed with. It is a comedic anime that you won't find yourself hating at all. The story is about a girl named Haruhi and her experience as a host in Ouran's Host Club, a club dominated by rich boys. It's a show with lovable and memorable characters that could bring light and laughter during the break.
3. FullMetal Alchemist: BrotherHood
This anime is the definition of badass. This Fullmetal Alchemist adaptation centers around the Elric brothers who had used alchemy to bring back their mother but had cost them both, one an arm and one his whole body. It includes their adventures on trying to discover the Philosopher's Stone which leads them to Homunculi and their own father, who has abandoned them when they were young. This anime will sure to keep your eyes glued to what new trouble the Elric brothers get themselves in and what follows. The fight sequences in here are something worth getting excited about as well. You could also watch the original called Fullmetal Alchemist.
4. Magi
The story follows Aladdin and Alibaba, two adventurous young lads who met each other and pursue their dreams to find long-buried treasure. This anime has great visuals and magic fights which will keep you wanting more. Both season one and two are on Netflix.
5. Samurai Champloo
Again, it's the fights that you should most likely watch for. However, other than the fights this anime is about a girl named Fuu who hires two vagabond warriors to help her look for a "man who smells of sunflowers". With a blend of hip hop culture set in Edo-era Japan, this anime is an eye-catching show that involves swords and trouble at every turn for the protagonist and her warriors.
