During all four seasons, New Jersey is the place to be. If you're looking forward to fun festivities to do during these seasons check out these four places Jersey locals can check out at any given time of the year;
1. Smithville
The Historic Smithville is a town that was built during the Revolutionary war and was turned into a Towne Center during late 1960's, where it then became a tourist attraction. Smithville has an event for every season. In the summer they have the big 4th of July spectacular every year where fireworks are produced. In the fall they have Octoberfest. Octoberfest is a festival in which people open up booths and sell their own items. During the winter it's set up beautifully with Christmas lights and they even have a holiday light show! When spring time approaches you can spend your Easter meeting the Easter bunny or be getting ice cream at Scoopy's! For lunch or dinner, you have many different options to chose from. My personal favorite is the Lantern Light Tavern, where you can get any type of food possible. The shops are just a sight to see alone.
2. Ocean City
Ocean City is a beatiful place to relax on during the summer season. The beach is a nice place to unwind after a hard week at work. After relaxing on the beach the boardwalk has a variety of places to eat food. Mac and Macs pizza being one of the most popular. The rides are also a great way for a family night out, a date night, or just a night out with friends! From the gag gift shop to the clothing stores, Ocean City is not a place you want to miss out on this summer!
3. Cape May County Zoo and Park
The Cape May County Park and Zoo is a great place to visit during the spring and summer seasons. You can see lions, tigers, and bears! (Insert Dorthy saying oh my joke here). You can see any type of animals that your mind can think of! My personal favorite is the beautiful snow leopards. The reptile house is another great sight to see if you are a lover of lizards. The final suggestion I would have is to check out the bird house where you can freely mingle with the flamingos.
4. Gabriel Tavern House
The Gabriel Davies Tavern is a historic mark in the Glendora area. An unknown landmark, and a haunted one. George Washington had this built during the revolutionary war for wounded soldiers. They say on the second-floor there are still bloodstains on the beds and you can hear the hurt soldiers moans from a faint distance. There is a tour two Sundays out of the months at this location. They are based on donations and are educational tours so history does not repeat itself.
