Montville, also known as "The Ville," is a town located in New Jersey, for those of you who do not know. It is a small, suburban town that is located in Morris County, New Jersey. Yes, in New Jersey, you know of the town people live in based on what county it is located in. Montville is broken up into three sub-towns: Montville, Pine Brook and Towaco. Recently, Montville became known as the town in which a few well-known faces live in such as Buddy Valastro from "Cake Boss" as well as Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga from "Real Housewives of New Jersey." Even if you often complain about wanting to leave, you cannot help but hold onto the bits of the childhood memories you made here.

1. You went to one of the main five elementary schools.

Also, you were either that kid who moved to Montville during your elementary school years or you went to St. Pius from preschool to eighth grade.

2. You tried at least one recreational sport.

These sports included soccer, basketball, baseball, softball and football. If you were athletic and loved the sport, you even played for the travel team.

3. You have to go to different towns in order to things.

4. The closest shopping mall is a little less than 20 minutes away.

Your parents allowing you to walk around the mall with your friend without parental supervision was one of your earliest memories of you growing up.

5. Barry's was your number one go-to place to buy Webkinz.

You were known as that cool kid if you had at least 10 Webkinz.

6. You spent your weekends playing at the Montville Park during your childhood.

7. You have many out-of-town friends.

8. You went to Robert R. Lazar Middle School

You would always hope that you were on the same team (either yellow, green or white) as your friends because that meant you were going to have the same teachers.

9. You choose favorites between Eli's and Montville Bagels for your favorite bagel shop.

10. You went to Montville Township High School.

11. You had at least one Tamagotchi when you were in elementary school.

The best part was when your Tamagotchi got married to your friend's Tamagotchi.

12. Your grade in middle school and high school was over 300 students.

By the time it gets to graduation, you find yourself asking the kid next to you, "Wait, since when has that person been in our grade?"

13. You did not have school or power when Hurricane Sandy hit Montville in 2012.

14. The main reason you go to the Montville Diner is so you can eat the disco fries.

15. You went to Clearview Cinema 12 for birthday parties during your childhood.

16. You felt really cool when you had a locker in middle school.

It was all about having the cliche middle school experience.

17. When you got your drivers license, Joe's Pizza, Panera, Buffalo Wild Wings and Spa Diner became your first local places you would eat at with your friends.

18. You are a member of Lake Valhalla Club or you went to the lake with your friend who is a member there.

19. You went to DAC dances when you were in middle school.

These were casual monthly social spots for middle-schoolers.

20. You are not the biggest fan of Montville during your teenage years, but after you graduated from high school, it suddenly becomes a not-too-shabby place.

Montville pride!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
