There is nothing better than curling up in your bed to binge watch movies during a snow day. Here's a list giving you 20 movies to watch. (All are available on Netflix or HBO Go). Happy watching!
1. "Hitch" — Netflix
"Hitch" is a crowd-pleaser, and it will set the tone for your binging. Also, the laughter will warm you up in those sub-freezing temperatures.
2. "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (Netflix)
It's long, so it's perfect for binge-watching. It also has a great storyline, but you kinda need to pay attention, so be forewarned.
3. "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" (Netflix)
This strikes the perfect balance between crazy action scenes, funny dialogue and scared for Captain-Jack. And, of course, Johnny Depp is flawless.
4. "Top Gun" (Netflix)
"Top Gun" has enough action to keep you awake, while still having a plot and a gorgeous love interest. Also young Tom Cruise is enough to keep anyone's attention.
5. "Happy Feet" (HBO Go)
If you are bingeing because of a snow day, "Happy Feet" is the perfect way to celebrate that.
6. "Meet the Fockers" (Netflix)
This is definitely the best of the series, and you will laugh from beginning to end.
7. "Lilo & Stitch" (Netflix)
"Lilo and Stitch" make us believe in friend-soulmates, and it has all the good parts of a rom-com without actually having romance. It's more of a bromance than anything, except Lilo isn't a bro.
8. "Silver Linings Playbook" (Netflix)
Everyone needs a little J Law in their snow day, and Bradley Cooper doesn't hurt.
9. "10 Things I Hate About You" (HBO Go)
This movie would be worth watching even without the late Heath Ledger gracing us with his gorgeous teenage self. It is a 90s classic and anyone who says they don't like it is lying. A must-see, even on a non-snow day.
10. "Grease" (Netflix)
This is a classic bad-boy, good-girl movie, and, as far as musicals go, its one of the best. It's an all-American movie and always foolproof.
11. "The Benchwarmers" (Netflix)
This comedy will take you by surprise and touch your heart while still having you hysterically laughing. Also, sports movies are always a good choice.
12. "Gone Girl" (HBO Go)
Not only are Ben and Rosamund disgustingly gorgeous, but its a great movie that'll keep you on your toes from beginning to end.
13. "Dreamgirls" (HBO Go)
Do you even need a reason to watch this?
14. "Pride and Prejudice" (Netflix)
Its a classic. It'll make you believe in love again. Elizabeth Bennet is the strong female lead we need in our lives.
15. "V for Vendetta" (HBO Go)
While this movie will make you think (which is usually avoided on snow days), it's so captivating. You won't care that you're thinking.
16. "Good Will Hunting" (Netflix)
Really anything with the late Robin Williams is a foolproof choice, but this is particularly good for snow day bingeing.
17. "Nanny McPhee" (Netflix)
"Nanny McPhee" will bring out the little kid in you!
18. "Fifty Shades of Grey" (HBO Go)
Disclaimer: I do not suggest watching this in a large group, especially considering there are conflicting opinions on this movie.
19. "Titanic" (HBO Go)
You'll be freezing to death in the cold, just like Jack. Yes, I went there.
20. "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (Netflix)
Duh.
