The treadmill. Aka "The dreadmill." Because nothing beats running in place and staring at walls while profusely sweating all alone or in a hot, packed gym. While they're convenient for certain training and when the weather outside isn't running-friendly, the list of pro's for treadmills stops right about there for most people. Here are 19 thoughts that you're probably not having while you're running on the treadmill.

1. "I love cardio."

2. "I could run on the treadmill for hours."

3. "Because I enjoy running and slipping all over pools of my own sweat."

4. "I'm totally not thinking about food right now."

5. "I feel so in shape and incredibly fit."

6. "In fact, I think I'll run on the highest speed setting. For the entire time."

7. "Why not just race the person next to me while I'm at it?"

8. "Because that's always a good idea."

9. "I feel like everyone in the gym is watching me, but I don't mind."

10. "Maybe I'll show off a little."

11. "Or a lot."

12. "Me? Extremely graceful on the treadmill and maintaining perfect form? You bet."

13. "I think I'll add some equipment to make the treadmill more challenging."

14. "Because the treadmill alone isn't difficult enough."

15. "The best part of using treadmills is getting to run in place and stare at walls."

16. "Who would rather run outside?"

17. "Not me."

18. "Yup. I could do this for hours."

19. "Where would we be without treadmills?"

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
