On Oct. 1, 1935, the world was blessed with my role model, favorite singer and actress. Not only is she talented, but is one of the most humble and gracious people to ever exist. After 80 years of perfection, here are 18 reasons to celebrate her 80 years!

1. She doesn't age.

Look at this! She looks amazing for being 80!

2. Her vocabulary is nothing short of amazing.

Julie Andrews is one of those people who can tell you to go to hell and you'll listen.

3. Her natural, four-octave range.

She was born with a fluke, four-octave range and the voice of an angel.

4. She's British.

She has the accent, need I explain further?

5. That time she owned mattress surfing.

She can even do this with grace.

6. When she took the role of Mary Poppins because she was denied the part of Eliza Doolittle and showed everyone up when she won her first Oscar.

When Disney offered to wait to film "Mary Poppins" until after Andrews had her baby, she said she would decline if offered the part of Eliza Doolittle in the film "My Fair Lady" after her time playing her on broadway. Jack Warner (an executive of "My Fair Lady") did not offer her the role. She was bitter about not receiving the part, but showed them how great she was when she won her first Oscar for the part of "Mary Poppins."

7. Her flawless annunciation.

8. When she reminded us that being late doesn't matter.

9. That time she reminded us the only person we need to have confidence in to succeed is yourself.
