16 Reasons Olivia Pope Is The Gladiator Of All Gladiators

TGIF? No. TGIT. Thursday night is what every Shonda Rhime's fan looks forward to, and come the end of it, we're ready for the next week to fly by. Call us crazy, but our obsessions with "Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal," and "How To Get Away With Murder," are what keep us sane.

Every Thursday night, we tune in at 9 p.m. on ABC to watch the mastermind Olivia Pope sweep Washington D.C. off their feet. She's at the top of her game 24/7, fixing any and every political scandal with her team at Olivia Pope and Associates. As if being the best public relations professional isn't enough, Olivia is in a constant lover's quarrel with the President of the United States. Her ability to twist and stretch the optics and yet still wear the white hat leaves us all at the edge of our seats waiting for more. Her strong will, confidence, quick thinking and authoritative attitude inspire us all to be gladiators in suits. Here are 16 reasons that show Olivia Pope is the gladiator of all gladiators.

1. She has her very own dance parties.

2. She knows her self-worth.

3. Her eating habits are equivalent to that of a college student.

4. She is the best in the business...

5. And she's not afraid to rub it in.

6. She is not naive.

7. She does not give up.

8. She made wine its own separate food group.

9. Nobody has a better gut instinct.

10. She knows exactly how to end a long, hard day.

11. One simply does not say no to Olivia Pope.

12. She chooses herself...

13. And chooses everyone else.

14. She always has something up her sleeve.

15. She is fierce, with a back up plan for every letter of the alphabet.

16. Got a problem?

Olivia Pope may be the ultimate fixer of political scandals, but she is also at the heart of every one of them. She has the most powerful man of the free world wrapped around her finger. Despite all her wrong doings, she handles herself with captivating poise, while the citizens of Washington walk the streets in fear of being "Poped." "Scandal" may be a fictional show, but admit it, when faced with a situation, all us fans ask ourselves one question: What would Olivia Pope do?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
