Before any crazy Taylor Swift fans decide to pull out their pitchforks on me, I would just like to clarify that I love T Swizzle as much as the next typical sorority girl. However, the new Apple commercial with her was really something else. As I was watching it, I couldn't help but think of the painfully awkward things we all have experienced that somehow have become less awkward after watching this.
1. Not knowing what someone said after they repeated it three times, so you just smile.
2. “Enjoy your movie." “Thanks, you too.”
3. Thinking someone is smiling at you, so you wave at them, only to realize they were looking at the person behind you.
4. Yelling someone's name and they don't hear you.
5. Watching a movie with your parents and a sex scene comes on.
6. Witnessing PDA.
7. When the person in front of you in class is stretching and their head is about to touch you, so you lean back all like:
8. When you go in for a hug and they go in for a handshake.
9. And then they see you go in for the hug, so they take their hand back, but you see them go for the handshake, so you lean back, and it starts the cycle all over again.
10. Walking out of a store after not buying anything.
11. When people start talking while you're telling a story, so you just start to fade out.
12. Trying to get a hanger off the rack at a store and five more hangers fall off with it onto the ground, so naturally, you have to run away.
13. Meeting the parents.
14. When your professor says to pair up.
15. Laughing at inappropriate times and trying to contain it.
16. Thinking of a response to to “wow, you look really tired.”
It's okay, we still love you, Taylor.
