The 16 Best Moments In 'Gilmore Girls A Year In The Life'

Just in case you have been living under a rock, 'Gilmore Girls' is back. That's right Amy Sherman- Palladino blessed us with four amazing episodes on Netflix this past Friday. I of course binge-watched it right away and I regret nothing. Here are the sixteen best moments:

1. When Lorelai and Rory meet up in the town gazebo.

"How long has it been?" "It feels like years"

2. Luke was so excited and proud of Rory's article in "The New Yorker" that he put it on the back of his menu at the diner.

He's such a proud (step) papa.

3. The Second Film By Kirk.

The second one is surprisingly even better than the original.

4. Jess visits Rory at The Stars Hollow Gazette office and he tells her to write a book.

Classic Jess, he can't have one serious moment.

5. The Stars Hollow Musical.

It was the weirdest fifteen minutes of my life but I couldn't look away.

6. The "I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends" Life and Death brigade sequence.

"In Omnia Paratus"

7. Any scene that Paris was in.

She is such a unique character that deserves many many awards.

8. When we finally saw Mr. Kim!

He does exist. The man, the myth, the legend! After seven seasons, we finally saw Lane's father.

9. The Pretzel story.

Lorelai's pretzel story about her late father Richard really was a tear-jerker.

10. When Rory slept with a wookiee.

A little part of me wants to believe that Jess was somehow in the wookiee costume, but that's not likely.

11. When Emily finally snapped.

Talk about character development! Emily finally got out of that lavish horrible lifestyle and gave those women a piece of her mind. I gave Kelly Bishop a standing ovation in my living room.

12. When Lorelai and Rory had their usual Chinese food, poptarts, ice cream and coffee.

It's the 'Gilmore Special'.

13. When Lorelai came back from her 'Wild' trip and Luke gave her the engagement ring.

"Don't you dare"

14. When Jess helped Luke with his tux for the wedding.

But he wasn't invited to the intimate wedding?

15. Luke and Lorelai finally getting married.

I've never seen Michel smile that much!

16. The last four words.

My mouth dropped open and I haven't been able to pick it up off the floor since.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
