Everyone who lives in Georgia knows that there is really no telling what you will get in the "fall".

Sometimes, I wonder what the weather in Georgia is thinking. It's summer one day, fall the next and then, oh wait, back to summer. Anyone who lives in Georgia knows what I mean. We all think the same things when it comes to the weather here.

(Month of August.....)

1. “I can't wait until fall.”

All of us Georgian's fantasize about weather that doesn’t make you constantly sweat.

2. “Fall starts in September right?”

We always start to get ready for fall way too early.

3. “Alright, it’s the end of September, where ya at fall??”

By the end of September, we are expecting a little bit of a drop in temperature.

4. “It's October!! Time to break out the sweaters and flannels."

We all get our fall clothing out and start patiently (or maybe impatiently) awaiting the arrival of fall.

(Middle of October…..)

5. “Okay maybe we had too high of hopes then, but shouldn’t it be a little cooler by now. Or is it just gonna stay 90 degrees forever.”

How are we supposed to function in this never ending heat?

6. “All I want in life is to wear a sweater and jeans.

7. “OK, that’s it I'm wearing my fall clothes. I don’t even care what the temperature is.”

Dies from heat stroke.

8. “Why is it 85 degrees. It's almost Halloween.”

It's literally supposed to be winter in a month, and we haven't even started fall yet.

9. "I want to have a bonfire, but, oh wait, I forgot it's NOT COLD.

Bonfires are a classic fall activity, but it's really hard to have one if it's still blazing hot out.

10. "Oh, it's gonna be 65 degrees today.....MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED. Thank the good lord.”

We finally get to experience a little bit of cool weather and then the next day...

11. "It's 85 degrees again?!"

12. "THANKS FOR TEASING US GEORGIA."

But when Georgia finally decides to get its stuff together in November, the weather is the actual best. Fall in Georgia is full of temperatures in the sixties, vibrant colors, bonfires and lots of pumpkin patches to explore.

So even though Georgia’s fall is literally bipolar, it’s worth the wait.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
