Whether they are the most popular trending words of the month or something we picked up from a song or movie that we just can't stop using, we all have our slang. Some slang words are fun, but others need to go now. Here are the 15 most popular slang words of 2014 and 2015 and what they mean.

1. Fleek.

On point.

"Eyebrows on fleek."

2. Bye Felicia.

When someone is leaving a party or event and you really don't care. Their name then becomes "Felicia," someone they aren't sad to see go. Their name is now irrelevant and they are "Felicia."

"Oh, you're leaving my party? Buh, bye Felicia."

3. Flex.

To show off.

"That girl keeps wearing all of those expensive clothes, she needs to stop flexin'."

4. Thirst.

A form of lust of or want of the opposite sex, or desperation.

"The thirst is real in that girl."

5. Hella.

Commonly used in place of "very" or "many".

"This party is hella cool."

6. Ratchet.

Someone who is rude, loud or obnoxious.

"That girl won't stop yelling and cussing, how ratchet."

7. Doe.

An alternative form of the word "though."

"But not really doe."

8. I Can't Even.

Used when something is too funny, cute, awkward, scary or any other emotion to have a reaction.

"Oh my gosh it was so awkward, I can't even."

9. The Feels.

A wave of emotion that hits you like a truck.

"I just saw my boyfriend with a new girl and it's got me in the feels."

10. Yeet.

Yerm used to express excitement.

"YEEEEEEEEET!"

12. Squad.

Crew or gang, a common group of individuals with something in common.

"If you mess with me you're messing with my whole squad."

13. Salty.

Upset, agitated or angry.

"Someone is salty."

14. Swerve.

To dismiss or to say no to a request.

"Do you want to go to prom with me?"

"uhhh swerveeee"

15. Figgity.

A bad situation.

"Dude this test is so figgity."
